In 2020, London Cru doubled down on its ambitious and innovative spirit, taking advantage of the difference in harvest dates to collaborate with top Californian winemakers. This project was designed to be an exchange of winemaking ethos and methods, showcasing the grape varieties in their purest form, and importantly, providing a pure expression of the California climate. We love showcasing these wines as a reference point to our Chardonnay and Pinot made from cool climate English vineyards.

LDN CRU x Sashi Moorman

Pinot Noir 2020 - Santa Rita Hills

Our partner for the Pinot was Sashi Moorman, the brilliant mind behind the stellar estates of PiedraSassi, Sandhi, and Domaine de la Cote. The grapes used to make this exceptional wine come from vines located next door to Moorman's prestigious Domaine de la Cote in the Santa Rita Hills, a region known for its harsh environment and unique soils that imbue Pinots with a distinct personality. A clear expression of Pinot with red cherry and fresh bramble fruits, savoury herbal layers, and a floral dried rose petal lift.

• Largely destemmed with just a small proportion of whole-bunch, the wine was fermented in concrete and was aged in neutral French oak.

• Drink now and for up to 5-years

• Pairs with roasted meats, vegetable Tagine and sunshine

• Only 500 bottles remain
